“Painting for me is an expression of myself in a new and fresh way. I am moved by discovering exciting new ways to work with my hands that are different from how I used them to treat patients as a physical therapist. My brush strokes fill with spontaneity as energy flows through my hands to make the canvas come alive. My work is mainly non-objective. I am inspired by interesting color combinations interacting with each other. I prefer to play with a large-scale format, and use oversized brushes to unleash movement. Throughout my process, I remain committed to exploration, guided by a fearless approach to my work. I am constantly stirred by my escape into everything that I create. ”
